I'm feeling good ...

I forgot to mention that I did go to the doctor this past Monday ... and it was confirmed that I had bronchitis. By the time I went, I think I had been hacking for like 10 days. It was horrible. So I got an antibiotic ... and then I came down with sinus pain. WTF?! So two days this week I had a horrible sinus headache ... but I'm now happy to finally be feeling better!

*************

I've sort of been in a funk regarding my weight ... and my health in general. Haha. I guess I'm technically slightly overweight ... the heaviest I've ever been. Ugh. I am one of those who always has intentions of working out and dieting, but it never sticks.

So I've decided that I am going to do this, damn it. I joined Weight Watchers online this morning, only because I like that it holds me accountable and it gives me good ideas for healthier food choices.

I also grabbed my iPod, cranked up the NKOTB {woot woot!} and went speed walking for a half hour. I will work my way up and quite honestly, I could have gone for another half hour. I just happened to be back at the house after a half hour, so I quit. LOL. Sit ups and arm work will come later today.

And ... I have been a total slacker on taking my vitamins, B12 and Juice Plus. I am committed to taking them every day ... I have to. I can tell the difference in my hair. Haha.

I will be looking hawt this summer. Hawt, I tell ya. Haha. Anyone wanna join me?

  3. I've been doing a "biggest loser" type program at our rec centre and lost a few inches - I want to keep going too.

My goal is 40 pounds in my 40th year -I've already lost 20.

    I've started a Ning: http://shrinkingwomen.ning.com/
I can send invites to anyone who wants to join.
(A ning is a lot like Facebook, but it's great for starting groups like this.)

  4. WW is awesome! I've lost 15 lbs on it. It's super easy to follow and you can basically eat what you want as long as you are smart about it!

  5. I also joined WW online....it is great and super easy to stick to the plan. I am feeling the same way you are-slightly overweight!! YUK! I think the fact that we have three kids makes it harder to find the time to actually work out. I rarely have time by myself to workout. I have started doing pilates 2 hours every week and it rocks. If you are looking for a great workout that is also relaxing at the same time, I would suggest doing reformer pilates.

    Good luck!

  7. YEAH BETHANY! I am totally the heaviest I have EVER BEEN. That's including being nine months pregnant with child.

I am actually going to the doctor tomorrow to talk about it, because I am going to be honest, I work my BUTT off.

My biggest problem I am not always consistent with "dieting", but we eat pretty healthy around here. But I admit I LOVE me some good food!

Let me know how weight watchers goes for you!

  9. WTG! I know you read my blog post complaining about the lack of exercise I'm getting. I'd love to say I will join you but...I can't be trusted to get my butt moving, lol. I definitely don't diet so count me out of that part. :-D

  10. Hmnnn...as I read your post I am sitting here with a big ol' bag of pistachio's that I've about blazed half way through...p.r.o.b.a.b.l.y not on the ww list of suggested items, rats! :) My 20 year HS reunion is this summer and who doesn't want to look "hawt" there :)...so I'm in too. Time to get the running shoes out. :)

I'd like to say I have now pushed the bag of pistachio's away out of motivation to begin dieting right this second...but honestly it is out of nausea from eating way too many! Tomorrow I get serious! :)

  12. After my baby is born in June/July. I will be trying to cut back and lose some weight as well. So, while everyone else is looking great I will be flabby, but hey the flab is worth my little miracle baby! So, starting after he is born- I will join the rest of you.

  14. Good for you! I think I'll stick to eating ice cream straight from the carton, at least until May. It's for the baby, right? Then, watch out!

  16. gosh i would love too. but the extra cash each month is kinda hard to bite right now for ww. I loved ww though.. i lost 35 lbs doing it about 8 years ago... it was aweswome!

  17. Good for you! I need to start exercising or something too. I just don't feel motivated to do it. The weather sucks (although getting better) and it's tough to walk at any kinda speed with munchkins in tow.

  18. Hi Bethany! You go girl! I joined WW online this morning! Between that and Wii Fit, I am hoping to get to where I want to be. I've got to get out of this slump and get MOTIVATED!!!

  21. First of all, soooo glad you are feeling better!!!

Secondly, I am so right there with you! UGH! I'm heavier than I've ever been too and I hate it! I have big plans for the Fall. Most likely Aleena will be in an all-day Kindy program. I'm going back to work at the salon about 10 hours a week and hitting the gym again!!! I was at 20 percent body fat when I got pregnant with Aleena and a gym rat. Now, I don't even want to KNOW what my body fat percentage is!!! I find it hard to motivate myself to exercise if I don't have the gym.

You go, Bethany! I probably won't be "hawt" until the end of the year! LOL

  22. Good luck. I hope your weight loss goes well. Every other month I am on a diet. This month is it. Bathing suit season is looming.....I am afraid!!!

  23. yeah! I am glad to hear that you will be eating better!! (beer and dog food just doesn't cut it!) lol I'm not sure how much Mt. Dew is on WW though. :( I think a big part of eating healty, losing weight and sticking too it is motivating and support! So I am hear to say I support you. If I can't be there and you are struggling, go in the bedroom and put on your bathing suit! Seriously, I went to the store the other day to try some on BLEH...Do Not go there. Trust me it is BIG time motivation!!!

    Love ya
