You know I think Bonnie Hunt is such a boob! But this was a great interview. I Agree with Tricia that the "mere humans" comment was a bit odd, but the interview with John C. McGinley was certainly moving!
No joke Bethany, I would send someone to your blog if they just found out their child had DS. After reading your blog they would be beyond excited. You have the most precious children. I loved the clip!!!
Thanks for posting this! I put in on my FB profile. I'd like some of my family members and friends from high school to see this clip. They all still use the r-word frequently. : (
I think that people that use the "R" word are people who are not comfortable with themselves or have never been close to a child or person with DS. I think once they have felt love for someone with special needs that their attitude would change.
