1:23 a.m.

Just talked to Kyle. Mason is breathing the same, but the ER nurse took an oxygen level and that was okay. They gave him a shot of Decadron to open up his airways and now they are waiting for a room.

I'm sure he has croup, especially since his sisters both just had it. But dang ... that is the worst sounding croup I've ever heard!

  1. Sorry to her your sweet boy is so sick. It’s so scary.
The same thing happened twice, to Aden over a year ago now but ugh I still feel the panic.
It was croup, his breathing was so laboured he was breathing from the tummy, big in and outs. It was so horrible.
    Thinking of you all.

  3. Oh no!!! Well, it's morning now, and I'm betting he's home and a little better. Tonight will be bad again, but at least you'll be ready for it! Nothing like having a kid scare the crap out of you! Hugs and prayers for Mason!

  5. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this. I've never dealt with croup (knock on wood), but I've dealt with ER trips in the middle of the night for breathing issues many times with my boys. I'm hoping he's home and feeling better.
