A Birthday Celebration

Today is my birthday ... 33 big ones. I had a very relaxing day doing pretty much nothing. That is the way I like it. Kristie and Casey, Shay and Jeremy and my mom came over for a BBQ and fishing. Wait, did you hear what I got for my birthday? Yep, a {pink} fishing pole and a net.

Why a net, you ask? Really, does an amateur fisherwoman like me really need a net? Why yes I do. We have three ponds in our community stocked with fish. We have been there fishing before. And little old me {not the guys ... ME} has caught some big 'ole catfish ... I'm talking 10-15 pound catfish. My new nickname is Bobber. So, in order to prepare for my next catfish, they got me a net.

Tonight, there were no catfish, but I did catch a bass. I'll note here that none of the guys have caught a bass yet ... even Mr. Determined {Casey} who has got the super bass bait {hahahaha ... I'm laughing all the way home}.
