We are enjoying a vacation in Hilton Head Island while someone house sits for us back home. We stopped in North Carolina on the way down to break up the trip a little bit. We were able to meet up with our friends ...
Kristen, Scott and Ethan ... for the evening, which was nice.

Upon arriving at our villa, we walked around to the backyard while the cleaning people finished up inside. Our villa sits on a little river and much to our surprise, we came across this little guy sitting right behind our place ...
Umm yeah, and I'm supposed to let my kids play
where? I think Nika would be a nice little appetizer for this guy ... or any of his friends, for that matter.
Yeah, not so much. Now picture me trying to take a shot of him, using my 50mm lens, meaning there is no zoom. I had to zoom with my feet and I was so nervous that he was going to jump at me!
Alas, he remained sunbathing. After dinner, we went down to see the ocean. The water was unbelievably warm and although Mason was the only one that had his swimsuit, all of us got wet.

Amazing pictures! I love the ones of Mason in the ocean and the one of the Crocodile - YIKES!

50mm ARE YOU CRAZY! It's amazing the things well do behind the lens. The dangers situations we'll put ourselves in for "the shot". Yikes, 50mm with a gator. Don't think so! LOL!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your vacation photos - fun times! That crocodile would freak me out though! Too close for comfort!
